Male Bettas are famously territorial and aggressive and cannot be kept together in one tank. However female Bettas are generally less aggressive. They can be kept in a sorority of multiple females within the one aquarium, even peacefully cohabiting with other fish and invertebrates, provided there is sufficient space. Be sure to avoid keeping your female Bettas with fin-nipping fish.
